Family Care Indonesia volunteer Gary McMahon teamed up with good friend and part-time helper Jean Christensen to conduct Character Building seminars for over 380 teachers and parents in Papua in early November in Jayapura and Timika. Jean gave a lively, funny and very interesting presentation on being an inspired teacher to teachers from TK, SD and PAUD while Gary delivered a moving and motivational presentation on parenting for the parents.
Six sets of the
STEPS Character Building kits were donated and each participant received a certificate. At the invitation of the head of the Education Department for the Papua Province the team will return in 2013 for more seminars.
