Medical Mission in Palu Sulawesi

Family Care Indonesia member Angel joined with friend Yashinta and a team of doctors, midwives and dentists to give free medical treatment and medication to four villages in remote areas around Palu, Sulawesi.

Around 600 people received treatment and were so thankful for this opportunity. Angel used the opportunity of being in Palu to do another Teacher’s Training Seminar with 24 teachers attending. The program was opened by the government head for the area who expressed his thanks for our help towards health and education in that province.

In addition the team donated a number of needed preschool books and a set of our other character-building series in the form of videos and accompanying workbooks, complete with DVD players to each of the 6 PAUD schools of Boro Asri to help them get started.

Thank you ICAP for your generous donation which made this entire program possible and Ibu Fenty of Ria Data Centre, Glodok, for your gift which provided for the additional books and DVD players. Many thanks to Pak Hartono and Ibu Wita, and Pak Panji for their help in arranging the many program details and for the delicious food arranged for the event.

Thank you, Ibu Lina from the Jogjakarta Provincial Department of Education for your support of our program and for your gracious contribution of teaching new children’s songs to the PAUD teachers.
