Aid to Atambua – Nusa Tenggara Timor
Family Care Indonesia volunteer, Esther joins friends to distribute vitamins and medicine in
Atambua on the border of Timor Leste. During the one week trip they visited 6 villages and gave away hundreds of sweaters, thousands of medicines, biscuits and sandals.
Working Together in Bogor

Mary and Ben along with the
American Woman's Association, YUM (Yayasan Usaha Mulia), Wat San (Water and Sanitation – YayasanTirta Lestari) Foundation, American Embassy and the American Club joined together for a day of community activities at the
Hessu Foundation in
Bogor.
They spent the morning building an organic garden for the
Hessu Foundation and local area. Wat San also provided hand-washing lessons and activities. All contributed towards snacks, activity packs and lunch for all. It was a wonderful united effort to make our world a bit of a better place.
Trip to Riau
Family Care Indonesia member and contributing volunteer, Gary, visited KotaPiring in
Tanjung Pinang in the province of
Kepulauan Riau once again making his fourth trip in as many months.
During the last two visits he conducted 35 English conversation classes, 6 teacher training meetings, 1 presentation for parents imparting tips for successful parenting and 2 Character Building classes on “Living Humbly” along with two youth meetings explaining possible future events. These were enjoyable visits with some wonderful people.
Orphanage Visits in Jakarta and Tangerang
Pierre shares the Easter story with the children at the Lestari SayangAnak Orphanage in
Jakarta.
Volunteers visit the Mekar Lestari Orphanage in
Tangerang to deliver donated clothing from friends and food staples donated by
Lotte Mart.
They also visited Tunas Mahardika Orphanage to deliver donated bread and jam.
