February 2016 Project Update

Team to Pangkalpinang, Bangka - Flash Flood

Team to Pangkalpinang, Bangka - Flash Flood Our team of volunteers arrived on Bangka Island a few days after the flooding that started on the day of Chinese New Year. By the time we arrived, the flood waters had subsided and most of the aid that was sent during the flood had already been distributed.

Team to Pangkalpinang, Bangka - Flash Flood Team to Pangkalpinang, Bangka - Flash Flood Our team visited flood victims and spent time with them to be a listening ear and offer encouragement. There was also quite a bit of work to do in cleaning up houses and shops that had been hit by the flooding. People were encouraged that we came to show them that we cared. Special thanks to all those who sent supplies and funds for this disaster.

Regular Visits to Hospital and Orphanage - Jakarta

Regular Visits to Hospital and Orphanage - Jakarta Mary is continuing with our regular visitation at the Lestari Sayang Anak orphanage. It's always a joy to spend personal time with these wonderful children. Pierre and Mary during our most recent visit to the Fatmawati Hospital. Regular Visits to Hospital and Orphanage - Jakarta

We again had a moving morning as we visited over 80 children with varied medical conditions. The smiles on their faces says it all as we spent a short time bringing a little light into their darkened rooms of sickness. Each one and each set of parents are so brave and we love spending time with each one.
